Good morning! If I were to ask to you today make a list of what you feel you need to do to please The Lord, I’m sure you could list a hundred. (Don’t worry, I won’t ask you to!)
Well, you can relax, because there’s only ONE THING you need to do: ABIDE IN JESUS. Psalm 27:4 says,
ONE THING I ask from the LORD, this ONLY do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and TO SEEK HIM in his temple.
Do you remember the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42? Jesus says to Martha, who was DISTRACTED with much serving, “MARTHA, MARTHA, YOU ARE WORRIED AND TROUBLED ABOUT MANY THINGS. But ONE THING IS NECESSARY, and Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Mary sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His Word! (Verse 39)
This is the ONLY THING we are responsible for ~ Everything else will be taken care of! The Lord will make sure of it!
