Hello lovely one!

I want to take a look with you at a few passages of Scripture about CONSIDERING YOUR WAYS.

As children of Almighty God, it matters what we do and say.  This life of faith isn’t just about learning principles ~ it’s about applying them.

To begin, I’d like to recap a parable of Jesus from Luke 14:16-27 ~ Here, a certain man gave a great supper and invited many…But they all with one accord began to make excuses…The master of the house was angry and said to his servant, “Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor, the maimed, the lame and the blind.  Compel them to come in that my house may be filled.”

Even though all the people may have had ‘legitimate’ excuses, the master was angry because they weren’t seeking first the kingdom of God, which is all that God reigns over; His house; His mission.

What our Master wants to know is: “What’s first in our hearts?”  If our answer is the Word of God, the kingdom of God, then our reward will be great.

Our lives are so brief, natural things are insignificant, while spiritual things are eternal!

Secondly, Haggai 1:2 says this,

  • Thus speaks the Lord of hosts saying, “These people say, ‘The time has not yet come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.'”

The people were saying in effect, “Not now Lord!” He goes on to say in verses 4-5,

  • “Is it time for you to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?  Now therefore, thus says the Lord of Hosts, ‘CONSIDER YOUR WAYS!‘”

Let’s put God first place in all things in our lives.  If we do, verse 19 says,

  • “…I WILL BLESS YOU”.

Building His house FIRST,
