Good morning faithful ones!

Hebrews 6:12 says,

  • Do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through FAITH AND PATIENCE inherit the promises.

It’s imperative that as believers, we walk by faith, and not by sight.  Sight doesn’t only refer to our eyes, but to all our senses ~ our hearing, our taste, our touch, and our feelings.  What we do now that we are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit is to find the promises in God’s Word and believe for God to meet the need.

What the Word encourages us to do when the results seem slow in coming and we are tempted to give up is to put the power of patience to work.  James 1:2-4 exhorts us in this way:

  • Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.  For you know that when your faith is tested, your patience has a chance to grow.  So let it grow, for when your patience is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

PATIENCE undergirds and sustains our faith until the result is manifested.  It doesn’t surrender to circumstances or succumb under trial.  PATIENCE is constant all the time; it’s courageous under fire and it answers every doubt and fear with the assurance of God’s Word.  PATIENCE slips under faith and keeps it moving as time is passing.

Look at Hebrews 10:35-36 with me.  It says,

  • Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.  For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

PATIENCE is fearless confidence in God’s Word that produces great and glorious results in spite of contrary evidence.  So, when Satan bring a test or trial, do not fling away your confidence in God’s Word.  When you refuse to cast away your confidence, you know that the power of PATIENCE is at work.

Psalm 94:12-13 declares,

  • Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law, that You may give him power to keep himself calm in the days of adversity, until the [inevitable] pit of corruption is dug for the wicked.

Don’t every underestimate the power of progress.  PATIENCE is the power to keep yourself calm.  It is also the stabilizing factor in the midst of a stand.  The power of PATIENCE is released to work for you in the face of adversity and lack when you act on what God’s Word says about your situation.

Pray this with me:

  • “Adversity and lack, I speak to you in Jesus’ Name.  God’s Word says you are defeated and under my feet.  God’s Word is true, regardless of what I see with my natural eyes.  God’s Word has a great and glorious reward of provision.  I am holding fast to that Word and I will not fling it away, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
