Good morning righteous one!

It’s written of our precious Lord Jesus,

  • You have loved RIGHTOUESNESS and hated iniquity; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

God’s purpose is for you to have the Holy Spirit indwelling you so that you will love RIGHTEOUSNESS and hate iniquity.

When we begin to understand how this operates in our lives, we open the door for blessings to flow to us in abundance.  But this doesn’t happen automatically.  Because we are free moral agents and have the right to choose, we must decide whether or not to accept all that God has made available to us.  We can either choose to base our lives on a foundation of self-righteousness, or upon God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS.  When we choose God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS, we never have to worry about toiling or sweating for any kind of victory where our relationships, finances, or health are concerned because Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.

God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS must be the foundation of our Christian lives and the starting point from which we base all our decisions.

I pray that you choose to respond in favor or God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS instead of toiling relentlessly and missing the mark by trusting in self-righteousness.

1 Corinthians 1:30-31 says,

  • God has united you with Christ Jesus.  For our benefit God made Him to be wisdom itself.  Christ made us RIGHT with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin.  Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”

When we were born-again, our spirits were made RIGHT.  The Holy Spirit that indwells us urges us to live holy lives and to desire what God desires.  The thing we need to deal with after we are born-again, are our minds and our bodies.  That’s why we are exhorted in Romans 12:1-2 to,

  • Give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you.  Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind He will find acceptable.  This is truly the way to worship Him.  Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Romans 5:17 tells us that when we receive the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS, we will reign in life through the the One, Jesus Christ.  Also, 2 Corinthians 5:21 declares,

  • For He made Him Who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Him.

In closing, before I pray for you, I want you to look at one last Scripture.  It’s from 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 and it says,

  • Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder.  Now others are building on it.  But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful.  For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have – Jesus Christ.

Let’s become skilled in the Word of RIGHTEOUSNESS, according to Hebrews 5:13.

Let’s say this together:
“Father, I am so thankful to be called the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God.  I praise You that Jesus paid the price so that I could be perfected and made whole in You.  Today, I choose to constantly acknowledge that I am the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God.  I cast down every thought that tries to set itself against the truth.  I embrace Your Word in Romans 10:11 that says, “Anyone who believes in You will never be put to shame.  I thank You for this, and give you all the glory and all the praise, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Walking in His RIGHTEOUSNESS,
