Good morning beloved!

Our precious Lord Jesus has made everything available to us: Forgiveness of sin, healing from sickness and disease, and all the fullness of the Holy Spirit. It all comes from one source ~ The Lord Jesus Christ! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever as He announces the purpose of His coming in Luke 4:18-19:

  • “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Just to recap, Jesus had been baptized by John in the Jordan River, and the Holy Spirit had descended upon Him in the form of a dove. Being full of the Holy Spirit, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, and was more than a conqueror over the enemy. Then He returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee and preached in the synagogues. Finally, He came to His Own home town, Nazareth, where He announced His mission in Luke 4:18-19.

For 3 1/2 years He ministered on the earth, and then gave His life as a ransom for us all. Then, God raised Him from the dead, and before He went to heaven, He told His disciples that they would receive the power of the Holy Spirit upon them, too. Now through them, the glorious ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ would continue.

Well, the power of the Holy Spirit wasn’t just for a few apostles, but for us, too. Acts 2:39 says,

  • For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

Some believe that this power was just for the privileged few in the first century. It’s also for us in the 21st century! Jesus said in Mark 16:15-18,

  • “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved…And these signs will follow those who believe: In My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Oh, if we would only believe God! The greatest things would happen. Unbelief robs of us these blessings.

Are you feeling oppressed? I exhort you to cry out to God. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God will bring to light every hidden, unclean thing. God always brings DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES when you let Him search your heart.

Our God is so compassionate. He says in Isaiah 55:6,

  • Seek the Lord while He may be found…

Let’s seek the Lord and ask Him to search our hearts. Let’s call upon His glorious Name. There is forgiveness, healing, redemption, deliverance, and everything you need right here and now. God will see to it that you are satisfied throughout eternity if you will come to Him in faith.

Praising God for His deliverance,
