Good morning FAITH-filled ones!
FAITH comes from hearing the WORD OF GOD (see Romans 10:17), therefore, it is of upmost importance that we devote ourselves to the WORD OF GOD. We are to make HIS WORD our final authority in life. The written WORD OF GOD prepares us to hear the voice behind the WORD. While we are reading and meditating on the WORD OF GOD, He will speak to us, giving us specific instructions for our lives.
I would like to give you four definitions of FAITH:
1. FAITH is acting on the WORD OF GOD.
2. FAITH is a practical expression of the confidence we have in God and HIS WORD.
3. Real Bible FAITH is FAITH in the love of God.
4. FAITH is an act of obedience to the voice behind the WORD.
When we hear the spoken WORD, our FAITH grows. When God speaks the WORD, it is implanted. When we hear the WORD preached, it is imparted.
Our FAITH is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4). Praise God, because the Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 2:14 that He always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus.
God will always lead us into victory by HIS WORD. Behind every written WORD is a Rhema WORD. This means, He is always speaking, but we may not always be listening.
There are instructions in the spoken WORD, but the written WORD helps us recognize the spoken WORD – it is the gateway!
I want to gives you five safeguards when you hear a WORD from God:
1. It will require faith!
2. It will require courage!
3. It will line up with the written WORD!
4. It will go against the reasons and rationalizations of the world!
5. Peace will rule in your heart like an umpire!
Family, whatever God is telling you to do, do! We can read about this in John 2:1-11. Whenever we obey God, a transformation takes place, like when Jesus turned the water into wine. Do not be afraid to step out. It is better to be willing to miss it in order to make it.
I encourage you to resist the urge to copy what God has told someone else to do. He will speak directly to YOU!
