Hello glorious ones in whom is all God’s delight!

According to the Word of God, we have been given SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY  over everything in heaven, in earth, and under the earth.  The mistaken belief that God is in complete control is contradicted when we read in the book of Genesis that He gave Adam and Eve AUTHORITY over all the earth (see Genesis 1:26-28). Because of their fall and the loss of that AUTHORITY, Jesus came to restore it all to us, as well as give us DOMINION over all the earth. With that in mind, we must remember that God is not going to come down from heaven to get the devil off our backs.  As believers, we are expected to use our SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY to do this ourselves, in Jesus’ Name.

See, God has given us something that many of us still do not realize we have – POWER AND AUTHORITY over the enemy.  In Luke 10:19 Jesus declares,

• Look, I have given you AUTHORITY over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them.  Nothing will injure you.

The DOMINION we possess is even greater than what Adam and Eve had, because when Jesus was resurrected, he had AUTHORITY over everything in heaven, in earth, and under the earth (see Philippians 2:10). When He gave us that same POWER AND AUTHORITY, we then became responsible for using our AUTHORITY to activate it!

But, when we refuse to use it, we limit God’s ability to intervene in situations on our behalf.  Our words and actions will empower either God or the devil to operate in our lives.

It is imperative that we walk in Jesus Christ, rooted and built up in Him and that we constantly give Him thanks. This is what Colossians 2:6-7 tells us.  This establishes our faith.

Did you know that praise and thanksgiving have real POWER in deciding the outcome of situations?  Giving thanks to God paralyzes the devil and allows GOD to move in our lives.  Psalm 8:2 tells us that praise binds the enemy and the avenger.

As believers, praising God and being joyful makes us strong. Nehemiah 8:10 declares,

• The joy of the LORD is my strength.

So, I encourage you today to walk in the SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY that Jesus died for you to have!  He paid a terrific price for you!
