Good morning! Did you ever want to take on a big project in the Kingdom of God, but The Lord just didn’t seem to let you? Well, there’s a reason why.

Do you remember what God did with the children of Israel when He brought them out of Egypt? He wanted to take them into the Promised Land, but before He could do that, He had to know if they would listen to His voice. If they didn’t, the enemies they were about to face would wipe them out!

So, God tested them in a small matter! Exodus 16:4 says, “Then the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My law or not.”

God took a little insignificant matter, like the food they ate, and used it to see if they would listen to Him or not.

Well, I bet you can guess what the Israelites went out and did? They went right out and violated God’s instructions. Apparently, God’s voice wasn’t important to them! They didn’t even obey Him in the simplest thing.

This is still how God works today. Before God will send you out on a major mission, He’ll give you the opportunity to prove to Him that you can be trusted with small instructions.

We’ll pray, “Lord, what do you want me to do for you? Or, “Where do you want me to go?” “I’ll do anything you tell me to do!” But when The Lord asks us to get up 1 hour early to pray, we fail to obey Him.

Let’s not make the mistake of failing to obey Him in the little things. Let Him see that He can trust you to be faithful to His Words and to obey the voice of His Spirit. Once He sees that He can trust you in the little things, He’ll start sending you on bigger assignments.

Continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessings,
