Greetings in the most powerful Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
In the midst if this crooked and perverse generation, (Phil. 2:15) what the world needs most is to see our light shine ever so brightly (Matt. 5:16).
I heard a story about a little boy that was given a flashlight for his 4th birthday, so he went outside during the day and said, “Dad, this doesn’t work!” The dad told him that the flashlight was meant to shine when it’s dark outside.
This is who we are in this world. Matt. 5:15 says, “No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.” We are like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
The Apostle Paul exhorts us in Romans 12:17 to live above reproach in the sight of all men.
We’re told in 1 Thess 5:22 to abstain from all appearance of evil. So, we want to be sure that we’re not walking on the edge, trying to get away with things. We want to go all out with God. We want to let the people around us see our love, faith and purity.
People might reject our words, but they can never refute or forget our acts of love!
So, I encourage you to live above reproach and let the light of Jesus shine brightly through you!
You are precious and beautiful!
Blessings,
Lisa Gordon
