Good morning! 1 Corinthians 5:9 says, “I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with unchaste (impure) people—”
The people you hang around has such an influence on your spiritual life! Having friends that know God will help you walk in a way that’s pleasing to The Lord, while keeping company with the ungodly will drag you down.
That’s why the Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, “Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
I’m not talking about ministry. Jesus ministered to sinners, and gave us the commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel. What I’m talking about is the people you choose for friends!
If you want to walk in the things of The Lord, don’t choose friends that talk and act ungodly. They’ll pull you down and you’ll expose yourself to temptation. You’ll become so familiar with sin, it’ll start to become less repulsive to you.
So, CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WISELY! Let’s follow what 2 Timothy 2:22 says: “Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts”, and let their faith rub off on you!
You are loved,
