Good morning, redeemed one!
You may ask, “What does the word, ‘redeemed’ mean again?
It means, “bought us out, like a slave who has been purchased and then set free; to be delivered.”
This is exactly what Jesus did for you:
Look at Galatians 3:13 with me,
- Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”).
If you take a look at Deuteronomy chapter 28:15-61, you will find everything you’ve been redeemed from.
Just to help you out, here are a few of the things:
- Tuberculosis, fever or inflammation (v. 22)
- Painful boils, tumors, scabs or an itch that cannot be healed (v. 27)
- Madness, blindness and confusion of heart (v. 28)
- Lack (v. 29)
- You betroth a wife and another man lies with her (v. 30)
- You build a house, but someone else lives in it (v. 30)
- You are oppressed and crushed (v. 33)
- You carry a lot of seed out to the field, but gather little in (v. 38) ~ We can equate this to working hard and not having anything left over after the bills are paid.
- You are borrowing instead of lending (v. 44)
- Serious and prolonged sicknesses (v. 59)
Don’t get frightened when you read these curses, but rejoice because CHRIST has redeemed you from every single one of them!
If you have a particular sickness (any sickness, because v. 61 says every sickness), say,
- “This (name the sickness) is part of the curse of the law. But Galatians 3:13 says that CHRIST has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I have been redeemed from (name the sickness)!”
Believe and confess that every day and as surely as Jesus took on Himself every curse of sickness and disease, your healing will break forth.
You are healed and made whole by Jesus,
