Good morning family!
As I was reading and meditating upon Psalm 81:10-16, I was overwhelmed by the presence of God. I could hear the Father utter these words, with a heavy heart,
- For it was I, the Lord your God, Who rescued you from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things. But no, My people wouldn’t listen. Israel did not want me around. So I let them follow their own stubborn desires, living according to their own ideas. Oh, that My people would listen to Me! Oh, that Israel would follow Me, walking in My paths! How quickly I would then subdue their enemies! How soon My hands would be upon their foes! Those who hate the Lord would cringe before Him; they would be doomed forever. But I would feed you with the finest wheat. I would satisfy you with wild honey from the rock.”
Can you see how much the Father wanted to be their provider, feeding them with the finest wheat and with honey from the rock. HE wanted to satisfy them, but because they would not heed the Father’s voice, He gave them over to their own stubborn desires to live according to their own ideas.
Let’s not grieve the heart of the Lord like Israel did by not listening to His Word and walking in His ways!
He loves you dearly and wants to bless you with every provision and benefit!
Love from your sister in Christ,
