Hello believing ones!

In the book of Matthew Chapter 8, we read of 6 MIRACLES JESUS PERFORMED.  Let’s see what conclusions we can come to in regards to God’s will to heal.

First, in verses 2-3, we see a leper coming to Jesus, worshiping Him and saying, 

  • “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”  Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him saying, I AM WILLING: BE CLEANSED.”  Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.  

Ok, so we can see Jesus’ willingness to heal here.

Secondly, in verses 5-7, a centurion came to Jesus, pleading with Him saying,

  • Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.  And Jesus said to him, “I WILL COME AND HEAL HIM.“

Again, we see Jesus’ willingness to heal.

Thirdly, in verses 14-15, 

  • Jesus had come into Peter’s house.  He saw Peter’s wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and THE FEVER LEFT HER.  And she arose and served them.

Are we getting the picture yet?  To further convince you of Jesus’ willingness to heal, look at verses 16-17,

  • When evening had come, they brought to Him MANY who were demon-possessed.  And He CAST OUT (drove out with violence) the spirits with a word and HEALED ALL WHO WERE SICK, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying, “HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND BORE OUR SICKNESSES.

How much more proof do we need?

Jesus saw the great quaking of the sea so that the ship was covered by the waves and Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea and there was a great calm.  Then the people marveled saying, “What manner of man is this, that EVEN THE WIND AND THE SEA OBEY HIM?!?

Finally, in verses 28-34, two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way, cried out to Jesus saying,

  • “What have we to do with You, Jesus, Son of God?  You came here before the season to torment us!…

And we all know the rest of the story:  The demons were released into the hogs and the entire herd rushed over the precipice (the cliff) into the sea, and died in the waters.  

OUR GOD IS A HEALER!  He ALWAYS has been and He ALWAYS will be!  No ifs, ands, or buts!  

Jesus said, “I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE.”  

Hebrews 13:8 says, 

  • JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER.  

Jesus tells us in John 10:10 (AMP),

  • 10 The thief comes only in order to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY.  I CAME  that they may have and enjoy LIFE , and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

“We praise You LORD JESUS that YOU ARE OUR HEALER; that you love us with an unconditional love and that You never change.  You and Your Word are one ~ Hallelujah”.
