Good morning brothers and sisters!
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NLT) says,
- And GOD WILL GENEROUSLY PROVIDE ALL YOU NEED. Then, you will ALWAYS have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
Did you know that OUR GOD IS AN EXTRAVAGANTLY GENEROUS GOD?
I cannot find anywhere in the Scriptures where God gave barely enough. Everywhere I look in His Word, I see overflow, abundance, more than enough, plenty and running over.
Let me give you a few examples:
- God gave us the Gift of Christ Jesus Who lived, died and rose again for our sakes.
- The widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17:10-16. When she gave all that she had to the Prophet Elijah, the Scripture says in verses 14-16 (NLT): 14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!” 15 So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days. 16 There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.
- God’s abundant provision for His people in Genesis 45:16-28. Here we can see how GOD PROVIDES for Jacob and his sons far beyond what they had ever dreamed.
- GOD ABUNDANTLY PROVIDES for all our needs. 1 Timothy 6:17 (AMP) says, …God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for [our] enjoyment. Philippians 4:19 (AMP) says, 19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
- When the Lord brought the Israelites into the Promised Land, HE PROVIDED ABUNDANTLY. Deuteronony 8:7-8 says, 7 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey…
- Psalm 66:12 says that God brought him His people into a place of ABUNDANCE.
- Psalm 36:7-9 says, How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.
- Ephesians 3:20 says, Now to Him Who, is able to do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—
Wow, do we serve AN EXTRAVAGANTLY GENEROUS GOD!
Love in our abundant God,
