Hello sowers!

I have always loved the parable of the sower because Jesus tells us that if we understand this parable, we will understand all the parables (Mark 4:13).

There are 4 groups of people here and I pray and believe that we all fall into the 4th group.

Let’s look at Mark 4:14-20,

14 The farmer plants seed by taking God’s word to others.

15 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message, only to have Satan come at once and take it away.  (You don’t want to be in this group)!

16 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 17 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. (They are excited about their new life in God, but don’t get to know God by meditating on His Word and soon fall away because of persecution).
18 The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, 19 but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced. (In this group, these people get under stress and instead of crying out to God for help, they tend to go back to their old habits).
20 And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” (I pray and believe you all are in this category ~ Way to go, family)!
As you continue to seek first the kingdom of God and meditate on God’s Word, you will begin to produce fruit some 30, 60 and 100 fold.

Jesus tells us in John 15:5,8

  • “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit…  By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
