Hi family!
I want to encourage you to ACKNOWLEDGE GOD IN ALL YOU DO. Make God a part of your every day life. God wants to help you when you’re cooking dinner, driving in traffic, cleaning up the house, and in everything you do. But here’s the key: God will only be involved in as much of your life as you allow Him to be.
Alot of believers have God in a “Sunday morning box” ~ that’s when people go to church ~ that’s when they pray and think about God. Then, they go out during the week and they don’t really include God in their life. They love God and reverence Him, but they think: “There’s nothing spiritual about going to the grocery store, cooking dinner or driving the car.” When they keep God in this box, they’re missing the favor and the blessings God wants to give them.
Proverbs 3:6 says,
- ACKNOWLEDGE GOD in all your ways…
Not, SOME of your ways, or just in the big things. If you’ll start ACKNOWLEDGING GOD in ALL your ways, He will crown your efforts with success.
One way to ACKNOWLEDGE GOD is to simply ASK for His help. When you’re going to the grocery store, say, “Father, help me to find what I’m looking for.” “Help this trip to be productive.” See, that’s ACKNOWLEDGING GOD! You’re saying in effect, “Father, I need You. I want You in my life.” That simple acknowledgment allows the Creator of the Universe to direct your steps. God will help you find what you may not have found. He’ll put you in the right place at the right time. Your life will be so much less frustrating and you’ll accomplish more when you develop this habit of ACKNOWLEDGING GOD.
When you ACKNOWLEDGE GOD, He breaths His favor on your life ~ You’ll come into an anointing of ease. What should have been a struggle, won’t be a struggle ~ That’s crowing your efforts with success. When God sees you showing your dependency on Him and relying on Him in every area of your life, He will cause your life to be easier.
See, you have to invite God into your every day life. If you’ll do this and ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, He’ll go before you and make the crooked places straight. Isaiah 45:2 says,
- “I will go before you and level the mountains; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.
He’ll cause the right people to show up. He’ll open doors that you couldn’t open. Proverbs 3:6 (TLB) says,
- In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
ACKNOWLEDGING GOD IN EVERYTHING you do means, when you get up in the morning, say, “Good morning, Lord – I love You today. I wouldn’t be alive without your goodness.” When you see your children, say, “Father, I thank You for these amazing children.” When you’re working, say, “Lord, thank You for your favor – Thank You that I excel in what You’ve called me to do.”
This should be a lifestyle! We want it to be so ingrained in us, it’s automatic. IN EVERYTHING you do, include God. Develop the habit of ACKNOWLEDGING HIM. That’s when God will fight your battles. That’s when God will make your paths straight and plain before you.
I exhort you not to go the next 20 years doing everything on your own. If you’ll ACKNOWLEDGE GOD in all you do, He’ll help you do what you’re doing in less time. That meeting will go better. Jesus said in John 15:5b,
- Apart from Me, you can do nothing.
He’s saying: “Without inviting Me into every area of your life, your day is not going to be what it could have been.” We should live with this attitude: “Father, I realize that this day isn’t going to be as productive, as successful, nor as easy without Your blessing and Your favor, so I’m going to make it a priority to ACKNOWELDGE YOU in all my ways.
When you ACKNOWLEDGE GOD, that’s a sign of humility. You’re saying, “Father, I know You created the whole universe ~ You flung the stars into space ~ You tell every rain drop where to fall ~ I’m not here by accident – You breathed Your life into me – You made me in Your image. You crowned me with Your favor.
When you show that kind of dependence on God, there is nothing He won’t do for you!
“Father, I thank You that as I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU in all my ways, You promised that You would direct and make straight and plain my paths. I choose to trust in You with all my heart and not to lean on my own understanding. Thank You, that through Christ Jesus, I can do all things. As I seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, I thank You that all my needs will be provided for. Thank You for the great plans that you have for Me as I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU in all my ways. I bless you, Father, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Acknowledging God,
