Good morning beloved!
Jesus came that we might really enjoy life. Jesus said in John 10:10,
- I came that you might have and enjoy life.
The Lord Jesus Christ wants us to live long, satisfied lives (Psalm 91:16).
I want to exhort you to learn to trust God at all times and REF– USE TO WORRY. Don’t allow your minds to be filled with anxiety, fear, and all kinds of troubling thoughts.
WORRY is a powerfully, destructive force that can so easily keep us from fulfilling our calling.
Today, so many people are living depressed, defeated, tormented lives all because they never learned the secret of how to guard their minds and control their thought lives. Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) says,
- Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
We’ve got to think about what we’re thinking about. God said in Isaiah 26:3,
- I will keep you in perfect peace if you keep your mind stayed on Me.
Did you know when we WORRY, we’re doing exactly opposite of what God said? We’re keeping our mind stayed on what the enemy is telling us.
See, satan’s favorite area to work is in the area of our minds and he’ll constantly keep feeding us all these lies ~ all kinds of negative, worrisome thoughts of we allow him to. Then, if we make the mistake of dwelling on his lies and are constantly trying to figure out all the “what if’s” in life, it won’t be long before we’re all upset, WORRIED and anxious. This is exactly what the enemy wants. His goal is to keep us in a negative frame of mind so that we never really ever enjoy our lives.
WORRY is simply playing the enemy’s lies over and over again in our minds.
See, WORRY is just the opposite of FAITH. Faith is what pleases God ~ Faith is what causes God to work in our lives. But, when we WORRY, we’re literally tieing the hands of Almighty God.
One of the main reasons we’ve all been guilty of WORRYING is because we try to figure out everything in our own natural reasoning and we try to solve all of our problems in our own strength and in our own power. All this does is lead to frustration and confusion ~ it’s like we’re trying to carry this big, heavy load all by ourselves ~ But, that’s never been God’s plan.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:6-7 (Amp),
- Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God and in due time, He will exalt you, casting the whole of your cares, all of your worries, all of your concerns, all of your anxieties, once and for all on Him, for He watchfully and affectionately cares for you.
Let’s stop trying to figure out everything out on our own. We need God’s strength and His power. We’ve gotten to be willing to say, “Father, I can’t do this on my own. I know that apart from You, I can do nothing according to John 15:5“.
See, pride just just the opposite of this. It says, “I don’t need any help ~ I’m confident in my own ability ~ I can handle this all by myself.”
But, family, if we make the mistake of trying to do everything in our own strength and in our own reasoning, God will just politely step back out of the way. If you want to do it all by yourself, God will certainly accommodate you.
This is what I encourage you to see: God is more than willing to take care of you. He is more than willing to turn those negative situations around ~ He wants to bring His promises to pass in your life. But, unless you first let go of it, God can’t begin to work in your life. Unless you make the decision to turn things completely over to God, and REF– USE TO WORRY about it, God can’t step in and supernaturally intervene.
Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25 says,
- There is a way that SEEMS right to a man, but it’s end is the way of death.
Jesus is the way (John 14:6), so let’s let God be God. He’s a lot smarter and wiser than we are, and He doesn’t need our help. He can solve any one of our problems all by Himself.
I encourage you to refuse to dwell on satan’s lies, refuse to carry that heavy burden he’s trying to put on you and REF– USE TO WORRY by casting all your cares on Him, once and for all!
“Father, we decide today that we will cast all our cares on you once and for all! Thank You, Father, that You are at work, on our behalf. You’re turning situations around in our favor. We thank You and praise You that You perfect those things that concern us. You always cause us to triumph. Thank You for Your peace that passes all understanding, in Jesus’ Name, Amen”.
Refusing to worry,
