Good morning faith-filled ones!
Many Christians don’t understand the importance of confession as it relates to the kingdom of God. Confession is the key to unlocking FAITH. When we renew our minds with the Word and speak the Word, we’re developing our FAITH.
The word confession means “to acknowledge”, “to own”, or “to acknowledge FAITH in”. By confessing God’s Word, we take possession of His promises. Confessing God’s Word establishes it in our spirits. We also confess God’s Word to admit and accept that it’s true.
Jesus said in Matthew 13:18-19 that if anyone hears the Word and does not understand it, Satan can take it away from him. So, Satan cannot steal the Word when a person understands it. That’s why we must understand the necessity of feeding ourselves the Word of God (see Luke 10:41-42). When we understand the Word, our lives change; however, becoming busy and anxious causes us to miss out of God’s answers.
I want to exhort you by giving you four reasons confession of God’s Word works:
- Confessing God’s Word works because it’s a way in which we sow seeds into the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is within every Christian (see Luke 17:21, AMP). We plant the Word of God in our hearts by speaking it (see Mark 4:26-27).
- Confessing God’s Word works because it causes our FAITH to work. Words transmit either fear or FAITH (see Job 3:25). When we confess the Word, our inner ear hears and receives what we are saying. FAITH comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (see Romans 10:17).
- Confessing God’s Word works because it renews the mind (see Romans 12:1-2). The Words feeds our spirit, then, in turn, our spirit feeds our mind and causes it to agree with God.
- Confessing God’s Word works because it keeps the answer before us. We must stay focused on the answer and not the problem. Focusing on the problem causes us to develop in fear instead of FAITH (see Philippians 4:6-8).
