Good morning glorious ones!
THE HOLY SPIRIT is the most important gift heaven has ever given us, and as Christians, we can’t live a successful life without Him. It’s THE HOLY SPIRIT Who guides us when we speak in tongues, which is an effective tool in shutting down and disabling the devil. Also, God has given us authority over the enemy, but this authority won’t work unless we use it. It’s important to remember that when Jesus came, He was anointed by God, and as believers, we have that same anointing. 1 John 2:20 says,
- But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
God has made His gifts available to every believer. Romans 2:11 says that God does not show favoritism. He gave the Holy Spirit to everyone, Jews and Gentiles alike (see Acts 10:45-46). In the book of Acts, it says in chapter 2, verse 4,
- And they were all filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
THE HOLY SPIRIT is one of God’s gifts that we receive by faith. Jesus said in Luke 11:13,
- So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give THE HOLY SPIRIT to those who ask him.
So, all we have to do is ask! When we are baptized in THE HOLY SPIRIT, we will experience what the early church did in the book of Acts. Acts 1:8 says,
- But you shall receive power when THE HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…to the end of the earth.
The HOLY SPIRIT makes us rulers over sin, and allows us to enhance our conversations with God. When we speak in an unknown tongue, we are speaking directly to God (see 1 Corinthians 14:2, 14). This will be a mystery to the speaker ~ although the we don’t understand what we’re praying, THE HOLY SPIRIT understands. We are spiritual beings ~ When we speak in tongues, our spirit is uttering the perfect prayer.
Praying the in Spirit and speaking in tongues builds us up. Jude 1:20 says,
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in THE HOLY SPIRIT…
We edify ourselves when we pray in tongues. Also, THE HOLY SPIRIT helps our weaknesses in the flesh, and intercedes for us when we don’t know what to pray for. This is what Romans 8:26 tells us.
Thanking God for THE HOLY SPIRIT,

1John 2:20 is a good verse to meditate on for increased words of knowledge. Have a blessed day Lisa and family.
