Good morning victorious one!
I want to encourage you today that there is a very blessed place for you to attain to, and the place God wants you to live in is A PLACE OF VICTORY ~ VICTORY over all the works of the enemy which include sin, sickness, disease and every other evil thing. When the Spirit of the Lord is living within you, and you yield yourself to Him, your life will always be in A PLACE OF VICTORY.
Can you see that before the disciples received the Holy Spirit, there were always in bondage? They were afraid, doubting and arguing? They were so conscious of their inabilities and their human depravity, that they said to one another at the last supper, “Is it I who will betray the Lord?” Then because Peter was ashamed that he said that, he rose up and said, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You.” And all the other disciples said the same thing, but they all left Him.
But, after they received the power of the Holy Spirit from on high, they were like lions and met every problem head on. These same men who failed time and time again before the crucifixion, came out in front to all those people who were gathered together and accused them of crucifying the Lord of glory. Here we see frail, helpless Peter so filled with the Spirit of Righteousness, he was as bold as a lion. So much so, that he counted himself unworthy of being crucified like his Lord, and asked that his murderers would hang him upside down on the cross. Peter had been changed by the power of God.
Family, 1 John 5:4 declares,
- For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the VICTORY that has overcome the world – our faith.
Jesus came to make us free from sin, free from disease, and pain. When I see a person diseased and in pain, I have great compassion for them, so I must lay my hands on them in the Name of the Lord and if possible, anoint them with oil, praying the prayer of faith, believing that the Lord will raise them up and if they have committed any sins, God will forgive them (James 5:14-15).
Jesus was always healing the sick, the afflicted, and helping the needy. Therefore, this is my commission also. Jesus tells us in Mark 16:15-18,
- And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Everywhere Jesus went, He walked in A PLACE OF VICTORY. Matthew 15:30-31 declares,
- Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed make whole, the lame walking and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.
We are to be imitators of God as dear children, and so our commission is to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons (Matthew 10:8). In Acts 26:18, we see Paul’s commission to:
- Open their eyes in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus.
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:1 to “imitate (follow) me, just as I also imitate Christ.”
I want to encourage you that you can walk in A PLACE OF VICTORY just like the Lord Jesus and the apostles did because you are filled with the same Holy Spirit of God. Let’s redeem the time, for the days are evil. Let’s decide to walk in A PLACE OF VICTORY in Jesus’ Name.
Victorious in Him,
