Good morning expectant ones!
Our expectations set the limitations for our lives. Way too many people are not expecting the right things. They don’t realize that their own wrong thinking is keeping them in mediocrity. God meets us at the level of our expectation. If we expect little, we’re going to receive little. If we don’t expect anything to get any better, it probably won’t. We need to pay attention to what we’re expecting.
If we’ll learn to raise our level of expectancy, and start expecting more favor, then we’ll see God do greater things.
This is what I do: Every morning when I first get out of bed, I say, “Something good is going to happen to me today.” Your word declares in Job 5:8 (MSG),
- You are famous for great and unexpected acts and there’s no end to Your surprises.
See, we have to set the tone for the day right then and there. Then, all through the day, we should have an attitude of expectancy. Like little children on Christmas morning, be on the lookout saying, “What’s God going to do today?”
Your expectation is your faith at work! When you release your faith for favor and expect to be surprised by God, you will!
Psalm 62:5 declares,
- My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.
Jesus said in Matthew 9:29,
- According to your faith, be it done unto you.
One translation put is so simple. It says, “Have what your faith expects.”
Let me ask you today, “What are you expecting in life?” Big things, little things, nothing at all?” It’s easy to expect the worst. But, if you could just switch over into faith and start expecting to excel; start expecting to accomplish your God-given desires, then you will draw out God’s blessings and favor.
You may not always “feel” like it, but when you wake up in the morning, you need to remind yourself:
- “You are more than a conqueror” (Romans 8:37)
- “God has great things in store for you” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
So, you should go out excited about the day, expecting things to change in your favor ~ Expecting to love the unlovely ~ Expecting that God has prepared people’s hearts to receive His Word and to be healed when you pray for them!
I exhort you to pay attention to what you’re expecting. Keep believing, keep expecting and you’ll see your life go from glory to glory. Hallelujah!
Expecting all God has promised,
