Good morning holy ones!
There’s a path we must follow if we want to see God’s power flow in our lives and that path is HOLINESS. We are HOLY when we’re of one heart and mind with the Father. We think what He tells us to think: we act the way He tells us to act, and we do what He tells us to do. HOLINESS is vital in these last days so that God can allow His power to flow through us. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 (NLT) says,
- In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.
That’s why it’s so important that we become HOLY VESSELS for His use. Being HOLY means being on the right path; walking with God. Being un-holy leads to the path of self-destruction.
I love what Jeremiah 6:16 from the Amplified Bible says,
- Ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is; then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, “We will not walk in it!”
See, HOLINESS is the way that leads to eternal life, but many people refuse to be HOLY. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 tells us that in these last days, there will be perilous times of great stress and trouble. People will be lovers of themselves and money, and be aroused by greedy desires to become wealthy. They will be proud and arrogant and comtemptous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, and profane. They will be without natural affection, slanderers, loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good, and inflated with self-conceit. They will be lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. The Bible tells us to stay away from such people. We can’t be friends with people who are enemies of God.
HOLINESS is a daily process. We must strive to make it a way of life. At times, the process may be difficult, however, we must not run away from our development. So many times, we run away from the pressure, but we are actually running away from the process that leads to life.
I exhort you to press toward the mark. Evaluate your heart. Judge how you judge others, and be sure to speak the truth in love. Allow the Lord to give you light (see Ephesians 5:14). Learn from Jesus and you will find rest for your souls. This is what Matthew 11:29 says!
Remember, we’re told in 1 Peter 1:15-16,
- But as He Who called you is HOLY, you also be HOLY in all your conduct, because it is written, “You must be HOLY because I am HOLY.”
Let’s determine to imitate God our Father as His dear children.
Striving in to walk in the HOLINESS of God,
