Good morning family of God!
In Matthew 24:3, the disciples asked Jesus a very important question, relevant to today – They said,
- “What will be the sign of Your coming, and the end of the age?”
Jesus answers them in verses 4-6 and says,
- “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My Name, saying, ‘I am the Christ’, and will deceive many. And you will hear of war and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
He goes on to say in verses 7-8 that,
- “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
I believe there is only ONE thing that will save America and it is AN AWAKENING TO GOD. The Lord has been telling us to prepare ourselves through prayer. I have been praying each morning for an hour or more. I ask God to breathe upon the embers within His Body until we burn with new fire, and for a manifestation of His presence that will awaken the spiritually dead unto Himself.
Hebrews 12:25-29 says this:
- Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One Who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One Who speaks to us from heaven! When God spoke from Mount Sinai, His voice shook the earth, but now He makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth, but the heavens also”. This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain. Since we are receiving a kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshipping Him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a devouring fire.
In the past, we have been through great revivals, like the healing revival in the late 40’s and 50’s, and in the late 60’s and into the 70’s, we had the great revival of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
A revival can be described as a visitation of God’s Spirit on God’s people. But an awakening is a time of such intense visitation by God that both the Christian and non-Christian communities are affected. An awakening is considered to be the effect of a revival on the community at large, including those who are outside the Christian Faith. While revivals alter the lives of individuals, awakenings alter the worldview of a whole culture. This is the time we are now in, family.
In Haggai 2:6-9, we can receive insight into what it is that the Lord wants to do in this day and hour:
- “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will SHAKE heaven and earth, and the sea and dry land; and I will SHAKE all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory’, says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine’, says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former’, says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace’, says the Lord of hosts.”
We’re exhorted in James 5:9,
- Behold, the Judge is standing at the door.
I encourage you to get out of your life the things that you know don’t please the Lord and get into your life the things that do.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 says,
- But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Let’s be sure that we are preparing ourselves for the days ahead by seeking God diligently and “upping” our prayer time.
Matthew 25:10 says,
- …And those who were ready went in with Him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
Let’s prepare our torches and have oil in our lamps, for:
- When the Son of Man comes with His glory and all of His holy angels, He shall sit on His throne of glory. And He shall gather in front of Him all the Nations, and He shall separate them from one another, even as a Shepherd separates the sheep from the goates. And He shall stand the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. Then the King shall declare to the ones on His right, ‘Come, those blessed of My Father, and inherit the kingdom (the reign) that has been prepared for you since the creation of the world…And He shall declare to the ones on His left, ‘Go from Me, you who have been cursed, into the fire forever, the place which has been prepared for the Adversary (the devil) and his angels (Matthew 25: 31-34, 41).
