Hello family!
2 Corinthians 7:1 (LEV) says,
- Then having these PROMISES beloved, we should be cleansing ourselves from every pollution of flesh and spirit performing (imposing upon ourselves) holiness in the fear of God.
GOD’S PROMISES are something He ALWAYS keeps. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says,
- For all these PROMISES OF GOD in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
GOD’S PROMISES us in Psalm 89:34 (TLB),
- No, I will not break My covenant; I will not take back one word of what I said.
Isn’t God amazing? He NEVER breaks HIS PROMISES to us. You can ALWAYS count on Him to fulfill His Word in your life. He is dependable! Hallelujah!
Not one of GOD’S PROMISES in the Bible ever fail. Joshua 23:14 (ESV) says,
- “…You know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord Your God PROMISED concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.
Here are just some of the things GOD has PROMISED you:
- GOD PROMISES eternal life. 1 John 2:25 says, “And this is the promise that He has promised us – eternal life.”
- GOD HAS PROMISED salvation for our children. Isaiah 49:25 says, “…For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.”
- GOD can do the impossible. Luke 18:27 says, “But He said ‘The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.'”
- GOD PROMISES a new heart and forgiveness. Ezekiel 36:26 says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” And in 1 John 1:9 GOD PROMISES, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
- We are PROMISED the Holy Spirit. In Luke 11:13 we read, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
- GOD PROMISES that the Holy Spirit will guide you and show you the truth. We read in John 16:13, “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come.”
- GOD has PROMISED you that you won’t lack. In Psalm 34:9-10 we read, “Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” He also says that He will take care of your day-to-day needs. It’s in Matthew 6:31-34: “Therefore do you worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ Or ‘What shall we drink?’ Or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Also, in Matthew 6:10-11, Jesus said to pray this, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.” I love this one, “Blessed be the LORD, Who DAILY LOADS us with benefits…” (Psalm 68:19).
- GOD PROMISES to supply all our needs. Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
- GOD PROMISES us health if we listen. Exodus 15:26 says, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am Lord Who heals you.”
- GOD PROMISES us wisdom and guides us. It’s in Psalm 32:8: “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide there with Mine eyes.” Don’t look to yourself for wisdom! Proverbs 3:5-7 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
Well, the list of GOD’S PROMISES goes on and on and on. There are over 7,000 promises in the Bible. I exhort you to search them out one at a time. This should take your lifetime.
Be blessed as you delve into God’s Word and search out GOD’S PROMISES,
