Greetings beautiful ones!
In our society today, people use the word, “LOVE” in so many different ways. Things like, “We LOVE a good movie” or “We LOVE going to Disney World, and also, “We LOVE our family.” No wonder why people get so confused about the subject of LOVE.
This is certain: every person on earth was created with a deep longing to give and receive LOVE. Most of us have developed our own personal definition of LOVE by the way we were raised and what we saw modeled in our homes growing up. Whether we realize it or not, most of us have a picture of God in our minds based on our relationship with our natural father. If our earthly father was kind and supportive, it’s easy to see God the same way. On the other hand, if he was unavailable or distant, it can be difficult to see the unconditional LOVE that God gives us so freely.
There are lots of people out there that think God is mad at them or wonder if God is in a “bad mood.” If things aren’t going well, they think God is behind it, not realizing that we have an enemy who is out to steal, kill, and destroy us. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says,
- Satan is the god of this world…
People think all the bad things that go on in this world are from God. Totally on the contrary, God is a giver, He is a bless-er, He is full of light ~ There is no darkness in Him at all.
1 John 4:8, 16 declares that GOD IS LOVE! God isn’t out punishing people and making their life miserable. Let me assure you that that is the farthest thing from the truth. God is not mad at you; He is madly in LOVE with you. In order to truly love your life and live the way God intends, you must understand and embrace this fundamental Christian truth!
It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve made a mistake ~ If you’ll come to God and not run from Him, He is always ready to receive you with open, loving arms. 1 John 1:9 says,
- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
So, just take a step of faith and embrace His His unconditional LOVE and forgiveness today!
You are so loved,
