Happy New Year, beloved!
As you may already know, Randy just finished writing a brand new translation of the Bible, called, “The Love Expressed Version”. As I was studying Acts 9 today from the LEV, verse 6 lept off the page. It says,
- “LORD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?”
As Paul saw the light from heaven, beyond the brightness of the sun, these are the words he uttered. As soon as he was willing to yield to what The Lord asked him to do, he was in a position where God could display His power.
Oh, beloved, are you saying today, “LORD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?” The place of yieldedness is just where God wants you to be.
There are a lot of things we want from God, but the only way to get them is to yield to the plan of God for our lives.
We need to be in a position where God can come in and meet our needs, and that is by yielding and yielding to Him. God has a plan for your life, and when you find out what He wants you to do, all you have to do is come in and enjoy His benefits.
My precious brothers and sisters, it’s the call of God that matters. Paul was in the call of God and I believe God is speaking to somebody’s heart today to obedience; it may be for China, India, or Africa, but the thing God is looking is for is obedience.
If God can have His way today, somebody’s ministry will begin; it will always begin as soon as you yield.
Let’s choose to be bondservants of the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you willing for God to have His way in your life today?
Do you remember the story of the prodigal son? When he had returned, he said to his father, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” But when his father saw him, he had compassion on him and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the father said to his servants, “Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is now found.” And they began to be merry.
Well, when the older brother heard this, he was angry and said to his father, “Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandments at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends”. But the father said to him, “Son, you are always with me and all that I have it yours“.
This older son could have killed a fatted calf at any time!
Beloved, all that our Heavenly Father has is ours, but it will only come through our obedience. When He can trust us, we won’t come behind in anything.
I want to be like Paul, who yielded and yielded and yielded, so that God could possess him in such a way that power flowed forth from his body and he healed the sick and suffering. Wouldn’t you like that too?
I want the healing virtue flowing forth from my body so that I can lay handkerchiefs on sick bodies, and by the living faith in me, the power of God will flow through me to the sick one.
As you get in touch with the Lord Jesus, wonderful things will take place.
We must have a perfect surrender to the call of God, and a perfect obedience.
How many of you today know that God has called you over and over again, and has put His hand upon you, but you have not yielded?
God wants us to see His power coming upon His people more than we have known: The power to heal, the power to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and the power to raise the dead, but we must say, “LORD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?”
I pray that you will never be the same again! As the Holy Spirit moves upon you, He will make you just like Jesus and you will truly say, “LORD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?”
