Good morning, family!
It’s such a wonderful thing WHEN GOT GETS YOU! We’re not much good for anything until GOD GETS US. WHEN GOD GETS YOU, you’re free, but you’ll only want to act like He acts.
In Acts 26:12-19, we read about that light from heaven, brighter than the sun, and the Voice which said, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” The LORD JESUS said to him in verse 16,
- “Rise and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness…to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”
Paul says in verse 19 that he was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. Remember in Acts 9:8 that Paul was blind for three days? He was in a state of brokenness and then GOD HAD HIM. Paul was now in a state of yieldedness, where he would cry and weep and his heart was melted.
In the natural, Paul had complete confidence in the flesh. He was circumcised on the eighth day of the race of Israel; concerning the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuted the church; and concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But WHEN GOD GOT PAUL, he counted all these things as loss compared to the priceless privilege of knowing Christ Jesus. He said it was a joy unequaled. For His sake, Paul lost everything and considered it all garbage, so that he could have the life of God.
See, when we die to our own lives, then God’s likeness will be made manifest in us and this living water will not only fill us but will be like a river flowing from us that will touch so many others.
I pray all the time that only God would have His way in me. There are so many wonderful things about a life filled with the Holy Spirit. When we come to a place where we don’t do anything for ourselves, God will do something for us and we will gladly do anything for Him that He desires.
When we cease from clothing ourselves, God will clothe us and will cover all our nakedness. In was this place of helplessness and brokenness that Paul cries, “LORD, what do you want me to do?”
So, WHEN GOD GETS YOU and you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you’ll for forth and see things accomplished that you would never see otherwise.
Jesus took great care of Paul and He’ll take great care of you, too!
I exhort you to let the Holy Spirit arrange things for you. Don’t try to arrange things according to your own plans. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, your own life ceases, in a sense, and now God is working things out for you. Now you can rest and “stand still and see the salvation of the LORD”.
So, I encourage you to “trust in the LORD with all your heart and don’t lean to your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths”.
