Good morning beloved!
In Hebrews 6:1-2 we are told to:
- Stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us to on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment…
What would you think about a builder who was constantly pulling down his house and kept putting in new foundations? I exhort you to never look back if you want the power of God in your life. Paul said in Philippians 3:13,
- No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
If we are always looking back, we’ll miss what God has for us now.
Romans 8:1-2 says,
- So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
Colossians 1:13 says that God has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His dear Son. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun ~ A life of love and liberty in Christ Jesus that is beyond all human comprehension.
There are so many people who have been brought into this new life through the power of the Spirit of God, and then, like the Galatians, who ran well at the beginning, try to perfect themselves on the lines of legalism. They have gone back from LIVING IN THE SPIRIT to a life on merely natural lines. Family, we want to please God in all we do, so if this be the case, just repent; don’t try to cover anything up. If you’ve been tripped up on anything, just confess it and then look to God to bring you to a place of stability of faith where your whole life will be a LIFE IN THE SPIRIT.
See, the moment man falls into sin, God’s divine life ceases to flow and we become helpless. But God doesn’t want this for any of His children. I encourage you to read 1 John 3 and take your place as a son or daughter of God. Take the place of knowing that you are a child of God and remember that your hope is set in Christ. This will have a purifying effect on your life. The Holy Spirit says in 1 John 3:9,
- Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.
Family, there is life and power in the seed of the Word of God that is implanted in you. 1 Peter 1:23 says,
- …having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever.
I exhort you to come and see how wonderful you are in God and how helpless you are in yourself. 2 Corinthians 3:5 says,
- Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiently is from God.
Our God has declared Himself to be more mighty than every opposing power when He cast out the power of darkness from heaven. I want you to know that the same power that cast Satan out of heaven dwells in every one who is born of God. If you would realize this today, you would reign in life. 1 John 4:4 says,
- You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He Who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
God wants you to be in an overcoming place in your life and has put His Spirit within you so that you can defeat the devil in the Name of Jesus. 1 John 5:4 says,
- For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.
We can also see what Jesus said in Luke 10:19,
- “Look, I am giving you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over the entire ability (power) of the enemy (Satan). And no, not one thing shall injure you.”
Satan is always endeavoring to bring God’s children into disrepute through railing accusations, but the Holy Spirit never condemns. He always reveals the blood of Jesus Christ. He always brings us help. The Lord Jesus referred to Him as The Comforter. He is always on hand to help in our seasons of tests and trials. The Holy Spirit is the lifting power of the Church. Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 3:3 that,
- We are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ…written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the Living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.
The Holy Spirit will make us epistles of Christ so that we will always be revealing that Jesus is our Lord and Redeemer. Our Lord Jesus is always before God as a newly slain Lamb. Because of this, there is salvation, healing, and deliverance for everyone! What great news! As we walk in the light, the blood of Jesus Christ is ever cleansing us from all sin, praise God.
I exhort you to LIVE IN THE SPIRIT today and God will reveal to you His pure, holy, divine love which will cause you to want to serve and honor the Lord.
Living in the Spirit,
