Good morning glorious ones!
I believe that you desire to KNOW GOD more and more every day, just like the Apostle Paul did. He said in Philippians 3:10,
- For my determined purpose is that I MAY KNOW HIM [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to KNOW the power out flowing from His resurrection which it exerts over believers, and that I may so share in His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death…
The more you fellowship with God in prayer and around His Word, the more joy and faith you will develop.
Jesus prayed in John 17:3,
- And this is the way to have eternal life – TO KNOW YOU, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One You sent to earth.
We come to know a person by spending time with them ~ the same holds true with our Father, the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We are exhorted in 2 Peter 3:18 to,
- Grow in the grace and KNOWLEDGE of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The more we know Him, the more like Him we will become.
The Prophet Jeremiah tells us this:
- Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom; let not the mighty man boast in his might; let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and KNOWS ME, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD” (Jeremiah 9:23-24).
When you COME TO KNOW HIM, you will begin to realize who you are in Him and this is what scares the devil the most!
