Good morning strong ones!
Family, it is imperative that we know what our SPIRITUAL STRATEGIES are in order to fight against wicked spiritual forces.
I want to encourage you that Jesus already won the war against the kingdom of darkness by sacrificing His life for us. However, although the war has been won, Satan still attacks us because of who we are in Christ. We can win our individual battles with the enemy by appropriating (taking by faith) what has already been done for us through the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Chist. Romans 5:2 (NLT) declares,
- Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this grace, the place of undeserved priviledge where we now stand…
We cannot be defeated when we remain steadfast in Jesus Christ, and believe in the promises of God and all that Jesus has accomplished for us.
Ephesians 6:12 (AMP) says,
- For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
See, our enemy approaches us with deceitful strategies. His goal is to ruin our lives. However, Satan is a defeated foe. Jesus has guaranteed our victory in spiritual warfare. In other words, we fight from a place of victory, and not for victory. The battle is the Lord’s and the victory is ours (2 Chronicles 20:15).
Although the battle is won, it does not mean that Satan will not try to attack us. We are a threat to his kingdom because of what Jesus has done for us. The most important thing we can do in spiritual warfare is to remain steadfast regarding the promises of God, and all that Jesus has done for us.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:11 (AMP) to,
- Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
In spiritual battles, we can not trust or rely on our own human abilities; we have to rely on Jesus. Paul tells us this in Ephesians 6:10 (AMP),
- In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
When we trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we can draw our strength from Him, through our union with Him. 1 Peter 5:8 says,
- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
According to this Scripture, the devil cannot devour everyone. He is not able to devour those who remain steadfast in Jesus Christ and what He has done to give us victory.
Remember, when we are weak, then we are strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 (AMPC) declares,
- So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak [in human strength] then am I am [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength].
I exhort you to learn to trust in Jesus’ strength and not in your own human strength. The devil can only succeed in his strategies against us when we trust in our own human abilities more than we trust God’s ability.
Walking in God’s spiritual strategies,
