Good morning beloved!
3 John 2 (KJV) says,
- Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest PROSPER and be in HEALTH, even as thy soul prospereth.
Say this with me: “God’s Word IS His will.” If you find any promises in the Word of God, know that it is the will of God. From the above Scripture, we can see that it is God’s will that we PROSPER and be in HEALTH. So, PROSPERITY and HEALING is ALWAYS the will of God.
The Biblical definition of PROSPERITY is success as we journey in life. It means to succeed in every arena of life. Society’s definition of PROSPERITY is limited to finances; but God’s definition of PROSPERITY means wholeness.
Prospering spiritually occurs when you are born again. Prospering physically means you are healed and healthy in your body. We prosper as our soul prospers.
God’s will is for us to have true success. However, we only succeed in the areas in which we believe His promises. The measure of our success is determined by the measure of success within our souls. In other words, a person PROSPERS as his soul (mind, will, and emotions) PROSPERS. The first step to soulPROSPERITY is mentalPROSPERITY. When we renew our minds to the Word of God, our mindsPROSPER and then we can PROSPER in our souls. When we think right, we will believe right and when we believe right, we will live right.
In Genesis 39, we can read about Joseph. Although Joseph was a slave in Potiphar’s house, Joseph was a successful man. Verses 1-2 (Amp) say,
- And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain and chief executioner of the [royal] guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a SUCCESSFUL and PROSPEROUS man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
Success cannot be defined simply in terms of what we have, but Who we have with us. The presence of the Lord in our lives is what brings us ultimate, everlasting success.
Many times, we, as believers, struggle to manifest PROSPERITY according to the world’s standard. However, PROSPERITY according to God’s Word extends beyond any PROSPERITY we can ever find in the world. PROSPERITY from God makes us whole in every area of life. It is a PROSPERITY that goes beyond a dollar amount.
True PROSPERITY comes from a complete dependence upon Jesus Christ.
Walking in God’s prosperity,
