Hello loves!
Let’s take a moment and look at Isaiah 55:7 ~ it says,
- Let the wicked FORSAKE his way and the unrighteous man HIS THOUGHTS; let him return to the Lord and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
Remember when Jesus said, “You cannot serve God and mammon?” He immediately said after that, “Take no THOUGHT.”
We cannot win the victory over our problems as long as the problem is the biggest thing in our lives!
That is why Isaiah 55 tells us to FORSAKE OUR THOUGHTS and take GOD’S THOUGHTS!
“So, what are we to do with our thoughts”, you may be asking. 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us. It says,
- …Casting down imaginations and every high THOUGHT that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every THOUGHT into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
We are not to allow ourselves to just think anything we feel like thinking. We have to bring our bodies under subjection; to train and discipline them; to bring them under control. “Under control to what?” The Word of God, of course. If we do not know what it says, how can we bring our thoughts under subjection to it?
That is why we are instructed in Romans 12:2 to:
- Not be conformed to this world, but be transformed BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND…
So, as we switch from wrong (wicked) thinking to right thinking (thinking on God’s thoughts), we will be set free from the difficulty. Do not forget that we are told in 1 Corinthians 10:13,
- No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
You do this by submitting yourselves to God (God’s Word) and by casting all of your cares on Him, because He cares for you. THINK on GOD’S WORD, not on the WORLD’S WORDS.
You will find yourself free and victorious over every circumstance and situation you face in life.
