Hello dearly loved by God!
Proverbs 29:18 (MSG) says,
- If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed.
This is such an amazing truth! That is why we are told in Proverbs 4:20-22,
- My son, give attention to My words; incline your ears to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh.
If we expect to have the blessed life Jesus promises us, it is imperative that we follow the instructions laid out in HIS WORD. That is our manual for life. Jesus said in John 10:10,
- I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
Also in 2 Timothy 3:16 we read,
- All Bible Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
It is so important that our eyes see the way God sees and the only way to do that is to delve into His Word and then put into practice what we see there.
That’s why James 1:22 exhorts us in this way:
- But don’t just listen to God’s Word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
God’s Word is our strong foundation upon which our entire lives should be built. Everything else is sinking sand.
I would like to pray this over you:
“Father give them Your vision to see the possibilities You see from Your Word. I pray that their hearts would be flooded with light so they can understand the confident hope You have given them, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Attending to God’s Word,
