Hello highly favored of God!
I love THE FAVOR OF GOD. FAVOR is defined as something granted to us by His goodwill, rather than for justice of payment. It is the showing of unusually preferential treatment.
Psalm 5:12 says,
- For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous, with FAVOR You will surround him as with a shield.
We could labor on our own for years and years, but one moment of GOD’S FAVOR turns things around and causes restoration and change in our lives. FAVOR cannot be bought or earned, but through Jesus, we have an introduction into it. THE FAVOR OF GOD produces uncommon results and changes the outcome of situations in ways we could never imagine. GOD’S FAVOR causes unprecedented events that have never before been manifested.
God always shows extraordinary compassion and goodness towards His highly FAVORED people. I love what Ecclesiastes 2:26 says. I quote it almost every day. It says,
- For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God.
Now that is what I call THE FAVOR OF GOD. I also love Job 27:16-17. It says,
- Evil people may have piles of money and may store away mounds of clothing. But the rightous will wear that clothing, and the innocent will divine that money.
Wow! Praise God! Romans 5:1-2 tells us how we have access into THE FAVOR OF GOD. It says,
- Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved priviledge where we now stand and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
Glory to God – it is by faith that we have access into THE FAVOR OF GOD! Proverbs 14:9 declares,
- …among the upright there is THE FAVOR OF GOD.
Because you are born-again and are partakers of God’s divine nature, you can know without a doubt that you are the apple of God’s eye; the crown of His creation; His prized possession; His royal priesthood, and a holy nation.
Psalm 102:13-16 tells us that God shall arise and have mercy on Zion, for the time to FAVOR her is here. Hallelujah! WE, the Church, are Zion. This is for us! We are the ones who will experience THE FAVOR OF GOD. When others are told, “no”, we are told “yes.” We will experience special treatment and receive what others are denied. Doors will be opened, and we will be given top priority.
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that,
- God is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek Him.
There are four things that will happen when we live in THE FAVOR OF GOD:
- His FAVOR will be on us, just like when He showed FAVOR to Abraham when he was still Abram. God told Abram He would make him a great nation, bless him, and make his name great (see Genesis 12:2).
- It will surround and protect us from the enemy the same way GOD’S FAVOR protected Job from the devil.
- It will follow us. Psalm 23:6 tells us that goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives, and we will live in the house of the Lord forever.
- It will show up everywhere we go. Deuteronomy 28:6 tells us that we will be blessed when we are out and about, and blessed when we come back.
Praising God for His favor,
