Good morning family of God!
When we line up our thinking with God’s Word, everything changes. No matter what is happening in our lives, His Word makes the difference between success and failure. Christians who try to live without the Word of God will encounter trouble. See, when we are born-again, our spirit changes, but we must renew our minds. We do that by constantly going to the Word of God as our final authority.
Bringing ourselves into agreement with God’s Word and living in the Lord
Jesus Christ changes us. When we follow His instructions, we get a response from heaven. If you are IN CHRIST, you are a new creature. The old person has passed away (2 Corinthains 5:17). You became a new species that has never existed before. Your very identity is IN JESUS, and you are everything He is.
After Jesus blessed the five loaves and two fish, He insisted that the disciples get in a boat and sail to the other side of the sea while He stayed behind to pray. When He came to them by night, during the storm at sea, they were afraid. He would have passed them by if they didn’t cry out. He got into the boat with them and calmed the wind and the waves (see Mark 6:45-52).
We can learn from this that God’s blessings have been made available, but they will pass us by unless we cry out and ask for them. When Jesus told them to “be of good cheer”, that was an unnatural response to trouble. This type of response triggers a supernatural response from God.
During the storm at sea, when the disciples willingly accepted Him, the boat immediately reached its destination (see John 6:21). The disciples obeyed Him and responded cheerfully, and the boat supernaturally moved to dry land.
Another example is when Paul and Silas were in jail – they prayed and sang praises to God. Suddenly an earthquake shook the prison and all the prisoners were freed, but no one left (see Acts 16:25-28). This was an unnatural response on the part of Paul and Silas, and it brought about supernatural intervention from God.
I exhort you to abide in Him and in His Word today.
Love in Jesus,
