Hello Christ-like ones!
Matthew 22:36-39 (LEV) says,
- “Teacher, which precept is the great command in the Law?” Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with your whole heart, your whole soul and your whole mind. This is the foremost and greatest precept. The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as if you were loving yourself ~ like they are you.”
Wow! This Scripture is revolutionary! Imagine if the Church was ACTUALLY walking in this?!? We would be the powerful, beautiful, spotless Church that Jesus wants us to be!
Let me ask you a question? “Do you believe it is ok if your neighbor is suffering financially, losing their home or their business, and you are living in abundance, without helping them out?”
The Scripture declares in Proverbs 3:27 (NLT),
- Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help!
The Aramaic Bible in Plain English says,
- Do not refrain from doing what is excellent as long as you are able.
We also read in Galatians 6:10 (ISV),
- So then, whenever we have the opportunity, let’s practice doing good to everyone, especially to the family of faith.
Do you know the Scripture that says,
- Rejoice with those who rejoice…? (Romans 12:15)
The reason we can do this and cheer our brother or sister on, praying for his or her promotion is because we are loving them just like we are loving ourselves!
In the book of Acts, Chapter 2, verses 44-45 (NLT), we read how the Church is supposed to be operating:
- And all the believers met together in one place and shared EVERYTHING they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.
As a result of doing this, verse 47 says,
- And each day the Lord added to the Church those who were being saved.
If we want to see many signs, wonders and miracles in the Church today, we are going to have to comply with these Scriptures!
I want you to know that everything we do here at Gordon Ministries and Jesus City Church, we do to strengthen you. We pray for you on a daily basis and believe that God has great things in store for you.
Jesus is Lord,
Lisa Gordon
