Greetings, Beloved!
Psalm 101:2-6 (NLT) says,
- I WILL lead a life of integrity in my own home.
- I WILL refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar…
- I WILL reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil…
- I WILL NOT endure conceit and pride.
- I WILL search for faithful people to be my companions…
The first thing I ask you to notice in the above verses are the words, “I WILL“.
See, we have to SET OUR WILL to do the things that please the Lord. It’s not all up to God ~ We have our part and He has His.
Secondly, LIVING A LIFE OF INTEGRITY means being honest, having good character, being sincere, truthful, trustworthy, whole and undivided.
This kind of transformation will take place in our lives when we make the Word of God our final authority. When we learn to honor God’s Word, giving it priority in our lives, God honors us.
Proverbs 10:9 and 11:3 respectively say,
- He who walks in integrity walks securely.
- The integriry of the upright will guide them.
As Christians, we are to talk like Jesus and walk like Jesus. It’s a life marked by love, compassion, mercy, justice and honoring God’s calling above everything else.
1 Peter 3:10-12 says,
- “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Pray this with me:
“Father, I have hidden Your Word in my heart so that I might have not sin against you; for it teaches me to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly before You, in Jesus Name, Amen.”
Living in Him,
