Good morning family,
Psalm 119:98 says,
- You, through Your commandments, make me WISER than my enemies; for they are ever with me.
We read in Luke 2:52 that Jesus grew in WISDOM and stature and in favor with God and man.
The way Jesus did this was by speaking God’s law the first thing in the morning, letting the Scripture revolve around in His mind while He was nailing two-by-fours in place, and praying the written precepts of His Father before falling off to sleep at night. All day long, He fixed His mind on God’s written Word, gaining new insight and meaning for His life and purpose in the earth. All day long, He meditated on God’s Word. Peter said He left us an example and that we should follow in His steps (1 Peter 2:21). Let’s do it and get the results He did.
Psalm 119:98 reveals precisely how this came to be in His life, and it can happen in your life, too!
It is a necessity to have GOD’S WISDOM fully matured and operating in your life.
WISDOM is the ability of God to use knowledge. I want to give you seven reasons why GOD’S WISDOM is a must in every Christian’s life:
- Proverbs 4:7 says that “WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPLE THING.” WISDOM is first in rank of importance, therefore, you must get WISDOM. You have to have it.
- Proverbs 3:15 says, “WISDOM is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are NOT to be compared with her.” God says you can have the desires of your heart, but there is nothing you can imagine that will profit or satisfy you as WISDOM can.
- Proverbs 3:16 promises a long life to those who get WISDOM. Do you want to life a long, healthy, prosperous life? Then find WISDOM.
- Proverbs 3:16 promises riches and honor to those who find WISDOM.
- Proverbs 8:21 says WISDOM will cause those who love her to inherit substance and will cause their treasuries to be full. You may have asked, “Why don’t we ever have any left over?” It is possible you have not found WISDOM.
- Proverbs 4:8 promises promotion to those who exalt WISDOM. To those who embrace WISDOM, she will bring to honor.
- Proverbs 3:23-26 promises a life of protection and safekeeping parallel to that found in Psalm 91, but only to those who keep sound WISDOM.
Let me pray this over you:
- “Father, I thank You that You give my readers Your WISDOM through the Holy Spirit, as they meditate upon Your Word night and day. You will make them wiser than all their enemies. I thank You that because they meditate upon Your Word, WISDOM will increase and be fully matured in them, in Jesus Name, Amen.”
