Good morning blessed of God!
In Revelation 12:10, the enemy is called,”The accuser of the brethren, who accuses us night and day before God.” There is nothing he would love any more than for us to live our lives feeling guilty and accused because we miss it.
Throughout our lives, he will bring accusations against us, telling us what we “didn’t do”, or what we “should have” done. He’ll remind us of our past mistakes and failures. So many people just swallow them hook, line and sinker, and go around guilty and accused, and feeling wrong about themselves because they haven’t learned who they are in Christ.
Just when they’re about to get over feeling guilty about something, another accusation comes to mind.
Family, the devil is a liar according to John 8:44, so whatever he says, just believe the opposite. The Scripture declares in John 10:4-5 that we know our Father’s voice and the voice of a stranger, we will NOT follow.
See, if we make the mistake of receiving these accusations, we’ll go through the day without JOY and without CONFIDENCE, and won’t expect anything good, because we don’t “feel” we deserve it.
We all know people who have made mistakes; they’ve gone through failures; but instead of receiving God’s mercy; instead of letting it go and pressing forward, that voice tells them: “You blew it; you messed up”. So, they live guilty and accused. When he does this, just turn it around and say, “I will break this habit and I’m not a failure, in Jesus’ Name.”
Don’t receive all the accusations and voices that come to mind, instead, cast them down. We’re not supposed to receive everything that comes across our minds. Take those thoughts captive according to 2 Corinthians 10:5.
Tell the enemy you’re not going to dwell on that junk anymore. Say things like this: “Father, I thank You that Your Spirit is within me and Your favor is towards me. Thank You, Father, that my feet are ready to run for you and there’s nothing that can stop me now. You are my helper. What can man do to me? If God is for me, who can be against me? I may not see how I’m getting to the finish line, but I know there’s one and there’s no stopping me now. Thank You, Father, for Your grace in my life.”
As long as you’re keeping His commandment of love to the best of your ability and have a desire to do what’s right, you can be assured ~ God is pleased with you!
Learn to receive God’s forgiveness according to 1 John 1:9. Don’t allow those accusing voices to play over and over in your minds.
Paul said in Philippians 3:13,
- This one thing I do, to forget those things that are behind and to stretch forth myself to those things which are before.
Do this and keep your eyes on Jesus and you’ll take away all the power of the accuser. He can’t control us when we don’t believe his lies.
Let’s learn to resist the enemy! 1 Peter 5:8-9 says,
- Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, whom resist steadfast in the faith…
Let me remind you of this Scripture from Philippians 1:6,
- He Who began a good work in you will continue to perform it until it’s perfectly complete.
Take the pressure off yourself ~ God is still working on us all! He has a great plan for your lives. God will restore everything that’s been stolen.
“Heavenly Father, I want You to reveal Your goodness, Your mercy, Your grace, and Your unconditional love to my brothers and sisters. Make it clear to them what a high price Jesus paid for them to be free ~ to know their true identity and how valuable they are to You! You’re an amazing God, full of mercy and truth. Thank You that they can have a relationship with You and I bless You for Your glorious Word, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
