Good morning called and anointed ones of God!
God intends for His people to have dominion and authority. Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV) states,
- Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
God’s crowning achievement was the creation of man! He created us to be overseers of the planet. This earth was created by God to serve and bless us. Psalm 8:3-6 (NKJV) says,
- When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than Elohim (God), and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; you have put all things under his feet…
We as believers have power and authority over all the power of the enemy. Jesus tells us in Luke 10:19,
- Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
We have the Name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit and a covenant with God. 2 Corinthians 2:14 states,
- Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ…
I exhort you to get a revelation of God’s authority and the dominion God has given you! You can do this by continuing to hear the Word of God so that you can build your confidence in the authority God has given you. Find the Scriptures that proclaim our authority in Christ Jesus and use that Word against the enemy.
Because Jesus is our prototype, we always follow His example. If he used the phrase, “IT IS WRITTEN” towards the enemy in Matthew 4, and quoted the Scripture, this is how we overcome the enemy also. Also, Paul tells us in Ephesians 6 to take the WORD OF GOD which is the sword of the Spirit. This is how we use our authority.
I exhort you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, like Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us to. Remember, God is always watching over His Word to perform it in your life (Jeremiah 1:12). Practice using God’s Word ~ keep believing and keep speaking until the victory is manifested. Begin to think, talk and act like God and you will prosper and be successful. This is what Joshua 1:8 tells us. We can change our thinking by renewing our minds to the Word of God (see Romans 12:2).
