Hello fellow believers!
Mark 16:20 says,
- And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.
Jesus has made available everything we will ever need in life, so asking God to do something that He has already done is unbelief on our behalf. When Jesus said, “IT IS FINISHED”, that meant that everything you could ever need was accomplished ~ healing, deliverance, prosperity, wholeness, security, preservation, soundness, etc.
If you want to see the manifestations of God’s promises in your lives, all you have to do is believe what God has said, speak it out of your mouth, and stay focused on Jesus. I exhort you to not be double-minded. For example, if the doctor tells you that you are sick, and your confession is, “By Jesus’ stripes, I am healed”, continue on with your confession. Don’t waver by going back and forth because James says that a double minded man won’t receive anything from the Lord (James 1:7-8).
In order to overcome doubt, it’s necessary to disregard what religion has taught us and go to the Bible to learn what we really need to know in this area.
When we believe what God’s Word has to say about us, God will team up with us to bring to pass the manifestations of His power.
Like Mark 16:20 says, God does nothing independently of people. He works with us when we cooperate with Him. God is sovereign, but He has given His authority to us. In Luke 10:19 (NKJV) Jesus declares,
- Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
In order to WORK TOGETHER WITH GOD, we need to:
- Be a believer
- Know His promises
- Enforce those promises by releasing our authority
God’s promises are spiritual laws, but we can’t enforce laws we’re unaware of. It’s imperative that we learn them by studying the Scriptures.
A lot of people blame God for the bad things that happen in their lives. They reason that it was His will that these things happened, but the flaw in this type of logic is that it takes all responsibility off of them. The truth of the Word of God is that God has given us dominion and authority and we have the right to use His power to enforce His promises in our lives.
In Matthew 10:1, Jesus gave His disciples all authority and power, and then told them to go out and use it. He said this to them even before they were born again and received the Holy Spirit, so this commandment applies even more to born-again beleivers.
In the beginning, God gave mankind dominion over all the earth, and everything in it (Genesis 1:26). After Adam sinned, God couldn’t fix the problem without a human body. This was because He had already given all power to mankind, and He couldn’t go back on His promise.
In our lives as believers, we receive everything pertaining to life and godliness through the knowledge of Christ Jesus (2 Peter 1:3). This means, we need to be dependent on Jesus, Who has accomplished everything for us.
Having a mindset that doesn’t line up with the Word of God will ultimately lead to death, but being spiritually minded leads to life and peace (Romans 8:6).
I exhort you to study the Scriptures so that you can line up what you say with what His Word actually says.
