Good morning dear ones!
FAITH grows out of the WORD OF GOD, and we’re to make His Word our final authority in life. Romans 10:17 says,
- So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
See, the written Word of God prepares us to hear the voice behind the Word. While we’re reading and meditating on the Word of God, He’ll speak to us, giving us specific instructions for our lives.
I would like to give you four definitions of FAITH:
- Faith is acting on the Word of God.
- Faith always expresses the confidence we have in God and His Word.
- Real bible faith is faith in the love of God.
- Faith is an act of obedience to the voice behind the Word.
When God speaks the Word, it’s implanted. When we hear the Word preached, it’s imparted.
According to 1 John 5:4, we can see that our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. And thanks be to God, Who always leads us to triumph (see 2 Corinthians 2:14, amp).
God will lead us into victory by His Word. God is always speaking, but the problem is many of us don’t hear Him. Proverbs 1:20-21 says,
- Wisdom calls aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city; she speaks her words…
The written Word helps us recognize the spoken Word; it’s a necessary gateway.
I want to give you five safeguards to follow when you hear a Word from God:
- It will require faith.
- It will require courage.
- It will line up with the written Word.
- It will go against the reasons and rationalizations of the world.
- Peace will rule in your heart like an umpire.
Whatever God is telling you to do from His Word, obey it (see John 2:1-11). Whenever we obey God, a transformation takes place. Don’t be afraid to step out ~ be willing to miss it in order to make it. Resist the urge to copy what God has told someone else to do. He will speak to you directly. Always be careful to remember that faith can only take what grace has made available.
I encourage you to have FAITH IN THE WORD OF GOD today!
Walking by faith and not by sight,
