Good morning dear one!
God wants us to LIVE ABUNDANTLY with nothing missing, broken, needed or even wanted in our lives. However, Satan wants to keep us contained in a state of “not having enough” or “never being complete” so that we can’t experience the fullness of God. God wants us to be complete in Him, and enjoy the fullness of life.
Ephesians 3:20 (AMPC) declares,
- Now to Him Who…is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—
The “over and above” life describes the fullness of God, which is a life that is complete through Him. In verse 19 of Ephesians, Paul prays that we be filled with all the fullness of God. Well, what does it mean to be filled with the fullness of God? It means there is nothing missing or broken in our lives. It means we are complete in Him, with no needs or wants. In other words, we’re in a state of peace that passes all understanding.
When we love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, we’ll enter into the fullness of God. When love is our motive, we continually abide in God because He is love. Therefore, in all that we do as Christians ~ praying, giving, obeying, and serving ~ we must be motivated by love and not selfishness. Otherwise, failure is inevitable. We’ll not be able to get things to work in the kingdom of God. So, when we abide in the love of God, we can’t be contained by the enemy.
Remember: God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (see 2 Timothy 1:7). Fear doesn’t come from God. Satan wants us to fear that what God has said won’t come to pass.
I encourage you to take John 10:10 (AMP) as your own ~
- I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
Living abundantly in God,
