Good morning disciples of the Lord!
Did you know that God’s Word says in Psalm 138:2 (NKJV),
- I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your Name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For YOU HAVE MAGNIFIED YOUR WORD ABOVE ALL YOUR NAME.
Wow, family! Were you aware of that? He has magnified HIS WORD ABOVE ALL HIS NAME. Can you see the importance of the Word of God? That’s why we’re exhorted in the book of Joshua 1:8 to,
- Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
Psalm 119 is one of my favorite Psalms and I desire to memorize the whole thing! Verse 89 says,
- Forever, O Lord, YOUR WORD IS SETTLED IN HEAVEN.
And again, in Psalm 89:34, God says,
- My covenant I will not break, nor alter THE WORD THAT HAS GONE OUT OF MY LIPS.
Were you aware that when Jesus said in John 10:10, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…”, it actually says in the Greek, I am the way, the REALITY, and the life! JESUS is not only the way and the life, HE’S THE REALITY! John 1:1 says,
- In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD!
I want to encourage you to line your entire life up with GOD’S WORD. Jesus did, and we are created in His image and likeness. Jesus never did anything except what He saw the Father doing; He never said anything unless He heard the Father say it. John 5:19 says,
- So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.
And again in John 12:49 we read,
- I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father Who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.
Glory to God! We’re to be imitators of God as dear children (see Ephesians 5:1).
