Good morning victorious ones!
In Mark 9:17-23 we read,
- Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.” He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
So, according to this Scripture, it there’s anything impossible for us to do, but Jesus doesn’t think it’s impossible, it’s a lack of faith or unbelief on our part. That’s why Jesus said in verse 19, “Oh, faithless generation“.
Let’s look at the end of verse 22 – the man said to Jesus, “If YOU can do anything, have compassion on us and help us”. Here we see that this dad didn’t understand that all things were possible to Him if He believed.
In verse 23 Jesus says, “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE if YOU can believe! This means no matter how mark you are hi and no matter what comes your way, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE to YOU if YOU can believe. How many things? ALL THINGS! We can break through the impossible!
Verse 23 from the Message Bible reads,
- Jesus said, “IF? THERE ARE NO ‘IFS’ AMONG BELIEVERS. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN”.
This gives me great hope – If I can believe, if YOU can believe, anything can happen.
Did you know that we can actually thrive on the impossible? Our spirits will actually begin to leap within us. Remember this: If it wasn’t impossible, it wouldn’t take faith!
The word, “impossible” is totally contrary to the Word of God. Some synonyms are: Totally unlikely, inconceivable, out of the question, unimaginable, no way!
So, when people say, “There’s no way” – You can say, “JESUS IS THE WAY”.
When the devil wakes you up in the middle of the night and screams, “There’s no way,” that’s an excellent indication that THE WAY (your answer) is right around the corner. Most people give up right on the verge of their breakthrough.
Here’s a tip: When you’re under the greatest pressure to quit, that’s always an indication that Satan has just fired his best shot – he’s done and you win!
Just because we’re faced with impossible looking situations, doesn’t mean that they are impossible. Jesus tells us in John 16:33,
- …In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
So, if Jesus tells us to be of good cheer, let’s do it, right in the face of the impossible looking situation.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 19:26 that things may be impossible with men, but not with God. It says,
- Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking it is impossible, but with God, everything is possible”.
Let’s decide in this New Year that we’re ONLY going to believe God’s Word. Not what the devil says; not what well-meaning Christians say; not what the doctor’s report says. Let’s make a major departure from the usually and the norm and confess Ephesians 3:20. It says,
- God can do anything, you know – far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!
I believe this is going to be a very special year for you!
I exhort you to get acquainted with the God of the impossible. Our God is capable of bringing things to pass when everyone else is saying, “No way”! Our response will be, “Yes, way”! Why? Because nothing is impossible with God.
Job 22:21-23 says,
- Give in to God, come to terms with Him and everything will turn out just fine. Let Him tell you what to do; take HIS WORDS to heart. Come back to God Almighty and He’ll rebuild your life.
Hallelujah, Amen.
