Good evening beloved!
In Matthew chapter 8, we read about a leper who lived in a leper colony. Lepers were declared as unclean and were not allowed to be in public. So, it would have been very difficult for him to get near the Lord Jesus because of the crowd that always surrounded him. Someone must have come to that leper and said, “Jesus can heal you!” He must have been so filled with expectation when he saw the Lord coming down from the mountainside. There was no help for this man, humanly speaking, but nothing is too hard for the Lord Jesus. In verse 2, the man cried out,
- “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Was Jesus willing? Oh boy, was He ever. Jesus only came to do the will of His Father, so He put forth His hand and touched Him, saying,
- “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). Sickness is oppression from the devil.
I am reminded of the woman in Luke 13:11-13 who had been crippled by an evil spirit of infirmity. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!
You will find that Jesus is always willing to work on our behalf ~ I think the trouble is that we do not come to Him and ask Him for what He is more than willing to give!
When the blind man who sat on the road begging heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, he cried out, saying,
- “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” The people in front of him yelled at him saying,“Be quiet!” But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him,“What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” he said, “I want to see!” And Jesus said, “All right, receive your sight! Your faith has healed you.” (Luke 18:35-42).
If you are definite in your requests to the Lord, you will never go away disappointed. His divine life will flow into you and you will be delivered instantaneously.
Hebrews 13:8 says,
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
I exhort you to believe Him because nothing is impossible to those who believe. All things are possible if you will only believe His Word. Just come to Jesus! You will find that He is just the same as He was in the days of old.
Jesus is Lord,
