Hello Church!
As I was reading through Acts chapter 5, I noticed that in THE EARLY CHURCH, no lies could exist. God is building His Church today and wants it full of purity and holiness unto the Lord. Ephesians 5:25-27 says,
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
God is working in supernatural ways in His body today making us like Him ~ loving righteousness and hating iniquity. Ephesians 5:1 says,
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
Family, we are to live like Him, walk like Him, and talk like Him.
Let me encourage your heart ~ Everything in the Word of God that was possible for the Lord Jesus Christ is also possible for us. God never meant to establish Christians on one plane and the Lord Jesus on another. The Scripture declares in 1 Corinthians 6:17,
But anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
So, if we are one spirit with the Lord, where does He begin and we end? If you take a glass of water and pour an additive into it, how can you separate the additive out once it has been blended together? This is what it is like when we are joined with the Lord.
We are created in God’s image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27). In Psalm 8, David declares in verses 4-6,
What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than Elohim (God) and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet…
This is who we are. This is who God made us to be and to have. We are supernatural beings. Christianity is not a natural thing. It has nothing natural in it. It is supernatural from the top to the bottom, and all the way around. God’s purpose in man is to transform us into His nature. Jesus said in John 10:34,
“I said, ye are gods.”
Let us purpose in our hearts to be all that God created us to be!
Love to you today,
Lisa Gordon
