Good morning family!
I want to encourage you today to MAKE A DEPOSIT everywhere you go! This is the way you can do this:
- Make people feel better about themselves by giving them a compliment ~ things like, “You look nice today” or “Great job”.
- Express thanks ~ things like, “I appreciate you.” “Thanks for being in my life.”
- Being kind ~ things like, “Good morning, how are you today?”
The fact that you take the time to show respect and go out of your way to make people feel special is MAKING A DEPOSIT in them.
1 Chronicles 4:40 says,
- They left it a better place than it was before.
I want you to ask yourself when you leave the gym, the store, or even your own home: “Are people better off than they were before?” Did you take time to encourage anyone? Did it lift their spirits? Were you pleasant to be around? Or, were you too busy and too stressed out to even notice someone else?
See, when you spend time in fellowship with the LORD, and get to know your identity and the great love the Father has for you, you can hurt FOR people, instead of being hurt BY people. When you know you are accepted by God, you cannot be rejected by people. It is so important that you claim what the Word says about you so you can become what the Scriptures say about you. This is how we represent Jesus to people on the earth.
So, when you leave a place, people should miss you ~ They should miss the joy, the peace, the encouraging words; the compliments; your kind spirit. We should not drag places down ~ We should leave them better off than they were before.
Take time to MAKE A DEPOSIT in people. Jesus died for them. You do not know what is going on in a person’s life; the struggles they are facing; the disappointments they have been through; the challenges that are in front of them.
God will use your smile, your compliment, your prayer beneath your breath, to breath life into people’s spirits and to let them know that someone cares. To you it may be no big deal, but to that other person, it is what keeps them moving forward.
Hebrews 3:13 declares,
• Encourage one another daily!
Not monthly, not once a week, not when you feel like it, NO! EVERY DAY, look out for opportunities to MAKE A DEPOSIT!
Making deposits everywhere I go,
