Good morning beautiful ones!
Psalm 96:9 says,
• O worship the LORD in THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS: tremble before Him, all the earth.
I love the word, “HOLY”. It is so beautiful and comely to my heart. The word, “HOLY” means to be separated from; to be uncommon. In 1 Peter 1:15-16 we read an amazing Scripture,
• But as He Who called you is HOLY, YOU also be HOLY in all your conduct, because it is written, “BE HOLY FOR I AM HOLY”.
Whoa, family! Have you ever heard people say in the body of Christ, “I’m just a worm in the dust”, thinking that they are being humble by saying that?
Well, if we are going to agree with the Word of God, that phrase is directly opposed to 1 Peter 1:15-16. We cannot be a “worm in the dust”, and BE HOLY JUST LIKE GOD IS HOLY, now can we?
Holiness is beautiful! It comes from our recreated human spirit. The more time we spend with God, Who is beauty ITSELF, the more beautiful we become. We will become more “separated” from the things of this world and look more “uncommon”.
Because we are created in the exact image and likeness of Almighty God (see Genesis 1:26-27), why would we have a problem living a HOLY life? Leviticus 19:2 says,
• YOU shall be HOLY, for I the Lord Your God am HOLY.
Many people believe they have to follow various religious rules and regulations in order to be holy. However, being “HOLY” simply means to be separated from worldly ways of operating and thinking. HOLINESS describes our oneness with God; being of one mind with Him or in agreement with Him.
See, as Christians, there is a part of us that is just like Jesus. Our born-again (or recreated) spirits became like Jesus when we accepted Him as our Lord and Savior. However, until we begin to trust God and renew our minds to the Word of God, we may still sin with our minds and bodies. Once we have taken the time and effort to think like God thinks, by meditating on His Word, we will become whole in every area of our lives.
According to the Word of God, you have been made righteous, not because of what you have achieved but because of what He has achieved. When we walk in the Spirit, the Scripture says that we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Remember, we are a triune being – We are a SPIRIT, we have a SOUL, and we live in a physical BODY (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
It is imperative that we bring our minds and our bodies under subjection to our recreated human spirit, and then we will begin to walk in THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS.
Let the BEAUTY of the Lord our God be upon you,
