Good morning dear ones!
Taking into consideration all that God has created, it is amazing that He cherishes and treasures mankind above all else! When we truly begin to understand God’s thoughts towards us, we will never accept defeat in our lives or think of ourselves as people unworthy of His goodness. In Psalm 8:3-6 (NLT) we read,
• When I look at the night sky and see the work of Your fingers – the moon and the stars You set in place – what are mere mortals that You should think about them, human beings that You should care for them? Yet You made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything You made, putting all things under their authority –
Wow, family! The Psalmist marveled at the concept that God has each one of us in His mind, even though He created the entire universe! Verse 5 literally says that God made us a little lower than Himself! (Hebrew: Elohim). He created us in the image of Himself and gave us dominion and authority!
It is so important as Christians that we change our thoughts and become cognizant of the fact that we are made in the image of Almighty God! Satan has accused mankind since the fall of man. He wants us to believe that we have no rights and that we are worthless in God’s sight. However, God would not have sent His Son to die for us if we were worthless!
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (inferiority, intimidation, fear, poverty, sin, sickness, disease, etc) – See 1 John 3:8. He came so that we would no longer be subject to our sin nature. Jesus sacrificed Himself and gave us the opportunity to choose eternal life instead of eternal damnation.
Romans 8:29 (AMP) says,
• For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.
When Jesus walked the earth, He was the express image of the Father (see Hebrews 1:3). He was the character of God our Father in action. When we become born-again, we were recreated in RIGHTEOUSNESS (or right standing with God). We must continue to renew our minds to the Word of God, thereby understanding our true identity in Christ Jesus (I have a series on this).
Only our spirits were born again when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior – our physical bodies and our minds were not! That is why it is imperative that we fulfill Romans 12:1-2 in our lives on a daily basis. It says,
• I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Our recreated spirit agrees with the Word and longs to follow God. Jesus is our bridge to the Father. Jesus died to give us the right to be connected to the Father. Now we can come boldly before the throne of God and we will find grace to help us when we need it most (see Hebrews 4:16).
On this earth, we can obtain victory over the enemy using the authority we have been given. The words we speak from God’s Word are weapons against the enemy. I exhort you to constantly speak God’s Word in order to bring things from the spiritual realm into the physical realm.
Loved by our Father,
